          <h2>[FP2210] - A CASE REPORT ON EALES DISEASE </h2>
          <p>Eales disease is a primary idiopathic peripheral obstructive retinal vascular disease of unclear etiology. Here we present a case of 38 year male who presented in OPD with complaint of diminution of vision in RE for 15 days. It was sudden in onset, painless and gradually progressive in nature. His visual acuity in RE was 6/36P and in LE was 6/9. On fundoscopy, disc was hyperaemic with blurred margins, background showed intra retinal haemorrhages , cotton wool spots, blood vessels was tortuous with venous sheathing, sclerosed vessels surrounded by haemorrhages in each eye with more severity in RE. Macular edema was present, foveal reflex was absent in RE. On investigating him, serum homocysteine was raised. Carotid doppler showed normal blood flow with small Type 1 plaque in left common carotid artery bulb. Provisional diagnosis of bilateral idiopathic peripheral periphlebitis was made. He was planned for intravitreal corticosteroid injection.
