<h2>[FP2337] - RHABDOMYOSARCOMA MASQUERADING AS PRIMARY ORBITAL NEUROBLASTOMA </h2>
<p>A 17-year-old male child presented with complaint of protrusion of right sided eyeball since 10-15 days. On presentation, right eye vision was 6/9 which has detoriated to 6/36 within one week. Right eye all movements are restricted. Right eye proptosis of 20mm. Anterior segment examination was normal initially. Both eye fundus showed no evidence of papilledema.
MRI scan shows lesion involving right rhino-orbital and meningeal invasion. PET scan showed no activity elsewhere in body.
Histopathology of specimen has shown round cell infiltration suggestive round cell neoplasm provisionally esthesioneuroblastoma.
Immunohistochemistry report confirmed diagnosis of rhabdomyosarcoma.
Patient had undergone debulking surgery by ENT department and referred to oncology department where chemotherapy has been started.
Rhabdomyosarcoma typically shows rhabdomyoblast while neuroblastoma shows ganglionic cell type in histology but here rhabdomyosarcoma had showed ganglionic differentiation.</p>
