          <h2>[FP2344] - ASSOCIATION OF LEVEL OF STEREOACUITY WITH SEVERITY AND TYPE OF AMBLYOPIA IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS </h2>
          <p>Stereoacuity of 36 amblyopes aged 3-19 was evaluated using Randot Stereograms and Titmus stereotest. Level of stereoacuity between the types and severity of amblyopia was analyzed. 19 had bilateral and 17 had unilateral amblyopia. 11 had mild, 14 had moderate and 11 had severe amblyopia. In 31 children, amblyopia was refractive (12– anisometropia,9–ametropic,10-meridional) and in 5 was strabismic. Those with severe amblyopia had worse stereoacuity (p<0.001). Ametropic and meridional amblyopes (mean 2.51 & 2.42 respectively) had best stereoacuity, while strabismic and anisometropic (mean 2.79 & 2.88 respectively) had worst stereoacuity. Stereoacuity of children and adolescents with severe amblyopia was associated with poorer stereopsis. Strabismic and anisometropic amblyopes had poorer stereopsis than other types of amblyopes. More anisometropic amblyopes had nil/worst stereoacuity as compared to those with strabismic amblyopes which is in contradiction to some of previous studies.</p>
